The Youth Section in North America is dedicated to creating welcoming spaces where young people can inspire each other and encounter the living spiritual activity of Anthroposophy. In the past year a new wave of 10-15 young people, inspired by and working with the ideals of Anthroposophy, have become active in the North American Youth Section. We have held two conferences, workshops, study groups, art initiatives, and service projects providing a container for meaningful encounters for spiritually striving young people. These gatherings serve as a vessel to meet other young people, facilitate collaboration and provide impetus for creative, responsible action in the world. We are excited to share our ambitious plans for the coming year and invite you to be a vital part of this journey.
The 2025 summer conference, The Light Between, will take place at Hawthorne Valley Farm in upstate New York. We hope to bring together over one hundred young people from across the country to this beautiful Biodynamic farm and Waldorf school. This will be an opportunity for youth, ages 16 to 35, to encounter the questions and challenges of our time and engage in conversation, work, and art to meet their lives actively. To make this vision a reality, we are organizing a comprehensive tour to Waldorf high schools and other institutions across the country to gather themes, spark enthusiasm, and encourage participation.
In addition to The Light Between Conference, we are committed to providing ongoing travel and registration assistance for young people to attend Anthroposophical workshops and conferences throughout the year. We need your help to make these opportunities accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. The North American Youth Section is dedicated to organizing gatherings where young people can meet and connect to the ideals of Anthroposophy, as well as carrying those ideals into action in the world!
Here are some examples of how your contribution can support our mission:
$100 – Provides one day of gas and food for the promotional tour.
$250 – Covers travel expenses for a young person to attend a workshop or conference.
$500 – Supports registration and meals for two young people at the 2025 conference.
$1,000 – Sends a young person to a conference at the Goetheanum for their first time.
$2,000 - Covers 8 participants' registration and meals at the annual Youth Section Conference!!!
Your donation will ensure that young people have the resources they need to participate in these deepening and connecting experiences, regardless of socio-economic status.
