Archival Content from our 2022 Youth Section Summer Gathering
I will kindle you up with fire // who you’re becoming // what a joy to blaze up // when you’re even at rest // I will kindle, kindle, kindle…
The HEARTH
This is our 4th annual Questions of Courage gathering - this year’s theme is around the word HEARTH: Heart, Hear, Art, Ear, Earth… each of these sub-words marks an intention for each day. Be ready to cook food, make art, listen deeply, meet new friends, be with sacred land, listen to music, perform, move, be challenged in your worldview, and get your hands dirty.
The Detroit Forum
The all ages forum How We Will: Becoming the Spirit of Detroit, from July 21st to 24th, is a collaboration between the World Social Initiative Forum (wsif.org) and Elderberries How We Will (howwewill.org). During the forum, grassroots initiative takers will speak and workshop to discern what social initiatives we can create, cultivate, and collaborate on to shift toward health in our society, and our individual life contexts. We will engage in a mixture of rural, suburban and urban experiences, service projects and artistic activities in racially and culturally diverse communities in the Brightmoor neighborhood of Detroit. Come prepared to be radically inspired!
